Dear Boundless Waves dancers,

We hope your summer is off to a beautiful start. We are writing with a few updates to keep you informed on our transition.

July Teacher Rotation

7/3 — Chelsea

7/10 — Aaron & Tina

7/17 — Aaron & Tina

7/24 — Qibei

7/31 — Qibei

We hope to see you more often on the floor this month. Every Friday night is an opportunity to sweat , reset and rejuvenate, in a community of dancers who love this practice just you do.

Welcoming New Teachers

We are so excited to share that three wonderful teachers are joining our teacher family, starting August:

Meaghan, returning to Boundless Waves from Sebastopol

Majica, joining us from Sacramento

Bettina, joining us from San Francisco

Summer Break & Our Return

Our last class before the summer break will be July 31st. We will then take two weeks of summer break, so NO CLASS on August 7th and August 14th.

We start again on August 21st, refreshed, expanded, and ready to dance together.

A Note on Membership

As shared in our last email, our membership program will be coming to a close. July 31st will be the last day memberships are active, and memberships will not be auto-renewed after that date.

Please log into Vagaro to manage your membership settings, or reach out to us directly and we'll help you sort it out.

New Registration System

Starting in August, we will be using an easier registration system on Qibei's website (www.qibei.be). Final details will be in our August newsletter.

Crew Needed

If you love this practice and are able to give a hand, please consider crewing for some Fridays, helping with set up and the door. Your generous contribution will be greatly appreciated by us and all the dancers. Email Qibei for more details.

June 29, 2026 | 1st Announcement

Boundless Waves Friday Night Dance was born in Berkeley in the fall of 2022. Since then, something really wonderful has grown here, a community of people coming together, moving honestly, and supporting each other more than any words can convey. Boundless Waves wouldn't be here without you showing up on the dance floor. A deep bow from us to you.

We are writing because Boundless Waves is entering a new chapter, and we want you to be in the know. In a nutshell, changes are coming to our admin, our teacher team, and our membership structure, all in service of the community who loves this practice. This will officially take place in August.

Change on the admin:

First of all, we want to acknowledge our deep gratitude to dearest Aaron and Tina.

As part of the admin team, Aaron and Tina have helped carry the organizational work since 2025. We are immensely grateful for what they have given to this community, and for trusting it into its next phase. Due to family and work demands, starting in August, they will step back from admin responsibilities. The good news is, they will continue to teach and bring the same big magic to the dance floor, alongside Chelsea, another beloved teacher who continues with us into this new chapter.

And so, Qibei will be stepping into the role of solo organizer. Boundless Waves has been such a meaningful part of her life since its very beginning, as a devoted dancer and a teacher. This transition will take a tremendous amount of work, and Qibei is wholeheartedly committed to keeping this practice alive and sustainable for all of us who dance there. We are so thankful for her willingness to carry this forward and for the love, dedication, and care she brings to everything she does within this community.

Change on the teacher team:

This chapter is also one of expansion of the collective teacher body. We are welcoming several teachers from other regions of the Bay Area and beyond into the rotation, and will create a collaborative curriculum to dive even deeper into the magic of 5Rhythms.

Change on the membership:

We will also be replacing our membership structure with a simple sliding scale, making this practice more accessible and flexible for everyone. If you have been a member, please know your commitment meant the world to us.

More details will be announced in follow-up emails in July. We want to ensure an easeful and clear transition as much as possible for everyone.

If you’ve been away, this is your invitation to come back. If you’ve been dancing regularly, then you already know how good it feels to see each other and move together. The floor is open, we are here, more present and ready than ever.
